Mountain Home, Arkansas is a hidden gem with stunning mountain views located in the Northeast corner of Arkansas just across the border from Southeast Missouri. With a population of about 40k, there is enough to draw interest while still providing a smaller community atmosphere for anyone looking to get out of the city (without getting too far out in the wild).

Mountain Home Town Square

Mountain Home provides a warm, welcoming square experience that encourages visitors to enjoy art, history, and entertainment. The Baxter Summer Concert series sets the sound stage while dozens of restaurants and bars serve up food and drink to bring the atmosphere together.


Mountain Home's entertainment district allows patrons to carry open cups of alcohol between 4:30pm and midnight.

Bull Shoals Cavern & Mountain Village

Bull Shoals Lake is one of the greats of the Ozarks. But you may not know that it offers another marvel beyond its waters. Bull Shoals Cavern is a spectacular limestone cavern that dates back 350 million years.


The cavern has been used by humans for thousands of years, with evidence of dwelling dating back to 300 BC. Throughout its history, it served various practical purposes for early Native Americans, settlers, Confederate soldiers during the Civil War, and moonshiners during Prohibition. Opened to the public in 1958, it now offers guided tours along well-lit concrete paths, allowing visitors to comfortably explore its wonders.


Bull Shoals-White River State Park

This designated recreation area sits at the Bull Shoals Dam on the White River, providing access to both the river and the lake. Here, you'll find a visitors center, 113 campsites, marina and boat ramp access, along with several nature trails.

Mammoth Spring State Park

Designated as a National Natural Landmark, Mammoth Spring is renowned as one of the globe's largest springs, boasting an impressive flow of nine million gallons per hour. This magnificent spring feeds into a sprawling 10-acre lake, which then narrows into the Spring River.

The Buffalo River in Mountain Home
