The Silver Dollar City experience comes with many different ticketing options. Finding the best value depends on how you will make use of the benefits available with each option. How Much Does a Typical Day at Silver Dollar City Cost

I budget $100-$150 per person, per day for a full day of festivities at Silver Dollar City. But that answer for your family is highly variable depending on individual habits. Here are the typical expenses and alternative options based on my family of 4's experience.

  • Admission - $35-$89 pp/day (save more with season passes)

  • Drinks - $4-5 each, $15 pp/day (save more with souvenir mugs)

  • Snacks - $5-10 each, $10 pp/day (save more with season passes)

  • Meals - $15 each, $15 pp/day (save more with season passes)

  • Souvenirs - $10-$15 each, $15 pp/day

You can cut the cost per person in half by investing in season passes. If you plan to visit the park multiple times per year, season passes can reduce your cost per visit significantly.

Ways to Lower Costs at SDC

Here are some ways to get the most bang for your buck at Silver Dollar City.

Buy Season Passes

If you plan to visit the park at least twice in one calendar year (non-consecutively), a season pass is probably the best value for saving on theme park admission. We live 2 hours away, and we're dedicated season pass holders. Skip to season pass info.

Drink Water

Not only is it excellent for hydration, but ice water is also free. We save at least $10 per person (that's $40 on drinks for the family!) on fountain sodas by bringing refillable water bottles to the park.

An easy way to tote your water bottle around is by bringing a sleeve carrier with strap like the one pictured here. These carriers are a life saver when you need to free up the mental capacity to keep track of more precious things in a busy theme park.

Pack a Cooler

Personally, food is part of the fun at the theme park. I appreciate (even with the theme park price markups) being able to get a few of my favorite treats while I'm there. But that doesn't mean you need to pig out at the park.

Silver Dollar City allows guests to bring in outside food and drink, so take that opportunity to pack some high-protein snacks. And when you do buy food at the park, don't forget to show your season pass for that extra discount!

Pack a cooler to keep your picnic lunch and drinks at just the right temperature while you're in the park. This one is an affordable backpack style cooler with straps for easier carrying.

Single & Multi-Day Tickets

Best for Seasonal Vacationers Visiting 1x per Year

Ticket Options:

Single Day - $89*

2-Day Ticket - $109* ($55 per day)

3-Day Ticket - $119* ($40 per day)

*Pricing is for Ages 12-64. Children under 3 are free. Children 4-11 and seniors 65+ are discounted by $10 per ticket.

If you buy a single-day or multi-day ticket, you won't receive any of the season pass holder benefits like food and drink discounts.

A single-day trip would cost our family of four $550. That is around $350 for tickets, plus roughly $50 per person to cover full-price food and beverage and a modest souvenir.

Two days at the park using a multi-day ticket would cost nearly $900 (or $450 per day). That's already a significant savings.

Three days at the park using a multi-day ticket would cost nearly $1100 (or $375 per day). You can see how the savings compound with each additional day.

Unless you are only in town for only 1 week per year, these multi-day passes may not be the best value for you or your family.

We certainly don't think so! If you're in the Ozarks throughout the year, continue reading to find out Silver Dollar City's season pass options.

2024 Silver Season Pass Discounts

  • 25% off tickets to the Branson Showboat Belle.

2024 Silver Season Pass: $149*

(Min. 2 Visits to Realize Value)

*Pricing is for Ages 12-64. Children under 3 are free. Children 4-11 and seniors 65+ are discounted by $10 per pass.

Let's say that you plan to visit once in the summer and once during Christmas. At a minimum, that is 2 visits per year ($70 per visit for 2024) which is already a better value than buying individual tickets for each trip.

My family lives 2 hours away from Branson, and we typically visit Silver Dollar City 3-4 times per year. One trip during the summer, one at Christmas, one during the Fall Festival, and one when the park opens for the season in the spring.

With the 2024 Silver Season Pass, admission costs us under $35 per visit (per pass holder). That's an incredible value compared to the cost of a single-day ticket which is now priced at $89.

If you plan to visit the park two or more times during the calendar year, the Silver Season Pass is a deal.

Plus, don't forget about the discounts we mentioned above on food, drinks, and more.

Here's what the food discount savings looks like for our family:

We spend an additional $50 per person per day on food and drink. With the added 10% season passholder discount, this adds up to another $80 in savings over the year for our family of four (includes 4 visits).

Gold Season Pass

Best for Bringing Friends Along for the Fun

Gold season pass members get even more discounts.

2024 Gold Season Pass Discounts:

  • 20% discount on food and drink for 2024

  • 30% off tickets to the Showboat Branson Belle

  • 15% off stays at the Silver Dollar City campground (2-night min)

  • Free souvenir mug with discounted refills

  • 5 Bring-a-Friend Tickets for 2024 (if purchased by 10/31/23) (see dates)

  • $40 Guest Tickets (Limit 1 per day, 2024 Only)

Plus, gold season passholders get priority gate entrance and first-hour Trailblazer access.

Ticket Options

2024 Gold Season Pass: $209*

(Min 3 Visits to Realize Value)

*Pricing is for Ages 12-64. Children under 3 are free. Children 4-11 and seniors 65+ are discounted by $10 per pass.

If you plan to visit the park at least four times throughout the calendar year, Gold members average out to $52.25 per visit for admission.

Visiting the park 4x per year would normally cost around $350 for daily tickets ($1384/year). With the gold season passes for our family, we would pay only $846/year. This saves over $500 on admission tickets if we go four times.

If I opt to use the guest discount for one of my kids in lieu of the season pass for them, I will save 25% off of the daily admission. This makes their admission $66.75 (more than the $53.50 per visit that I would pay if I buy them the pass).

However, if we want to occasionally bring a friend, the discount is a nice added perk.

With our season passes, we'll receive a free souvenir mug with discounted refills. That drops our drinks from $4-5 to $1.33 for fountain drinks and $2.66 for specialty drinks.

Instead of $15 per day per person in drinks, we can trim that budget to $6 per person per day. This is a $36 savings per trip for our family; at four trips per year, I estimate this to be a $144 value.

Additionally, we'll get a 15% discount on food and drink (20% for 2024). With the average budget being $40 per person, that's $6 in savings or $25 per trip for the family. Over the course of the year, food and drink discounts add up to a $100 value.

The other amenities like Priority Gate Entrance and First Hour Trailblazer Access aren't particularly valuable to our family. So, we'll put those on the nice-to-have list.

The Gold Season Pass is a good choice for people who want to "bring-a-friend"to Silver Dollar City for a discounted price, but may not be the best deal for families.

Diamond Season Pass

Best for Frequent Flyers and Branson Locals

The top tier of season passes for Silver Dollar City offers the best discounts across the board.

  • 35% off of Branson Showboat Belle tickets

  • 20% off of campground stays (2-night min)

  • $20 Guest tickets (limit one per day) 2024 Only

  • Free souvenir mug with discounted drink refills

  • ONE FREE BRING A FRIEND ANY DAY ticket per year

  • 25% discount on premium park experiences

  • 8 Bring-a-Friend Tickets (see dates)

Now, unlimited visits to WhiteWater waterpark are now included with Diamond Season Passes.

Ticket Options

2024 Season Pass: $269*

(Min. 4 Visits to Realize Value)

*Pricing is for Ages 12-64. Children under 3 are free. Children 4-11 and seniors 65+ are discounted by $10 per pass.

With four park visits per year, Diamond Season Pass holders pay $67.25 per visit for admission in 2024. If you will go 6 or more times, you can get this number down to $44 or lower per visit. Our family visits 3-4 times per year, so on admission alone, it's not the best deal for us to each get our own Diamond pass.

However, compared to daily admission at $89 per ticket, it is a $23 per visit savings per person, or $92 value for the year per passholder (based on 4 trips).

With 20% savings on food and beverage (average $45 pp/trip), that's $9 in savings per person. Altogether, the Diamond membership could save us $36 per trip or $144 per year in food and beverage discounts (4 visits).

Diamond members also get discounts on guest tickets, plus 1 FREE ANY DAY bring a guest pass. In 2024, there are 8 additional date ranges where passholders can bring-a-friend for free (1 ticket per date range).

Use Discounted Tickets for Your Kids

If I purchase a Diamond membership for each adult and use the discounted tickets for our two kids (with one free ticket for the year), this looks like:

In 2024:

Season Passes: $269 x 2 = $538

$20 Guest Admission x 2 = $40 (x4 trips = $160)

Minus 1 Free Ticket ($20)

$170 per Trip (Family of 4) or $42 per individual.

Compared to the cost of regular admission, we're saving almost $50 per ticket. If you remember, the cost of our family with 4 silver passes is $38.50, so technically, this works out to a marginal savings when used for a family of four.

The savings may not be realized if everyone in the family doesn't attend every trip.

We also get the souvenir mugs, adding around $9 in savings per person, or $144 in savings for the year.

Diamond members also get a 25% discount on premium theme park experiences. If you are the kind to go all-in on your experiences, the Diamond season pass is definitely an incredible value.

For our family, we could buy 2 Diamond passes for $528 ($510 for 2024) and potentially save hundreds on admission for the year when visiting Silver Dollar City as a family of 4 at least 4 times.

Now, what if we buy Diamond passes for everyone? That would cost $1096 for 4 adults.

In most cases, Diamond passes for all family members is too expensive. We would have to visit the park often and bring extra guests in order to justify the large investment up front.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear as mud? Here are a few more common questions that we see circulating about ticket prices and season passes.

Is Park Admission Free After 3PM?

Probably not. Prior to 2019 (and possibly during seasonal festivities with shorter park hours), Silver Dollar City did offer a free after 3pm deal where you could come back the following day with the same ticket. However, we last visited in July, and this offer was not on the table. We recommend that you call ahead and verify.

Can You Buy Half Price Tickets at the Grocery Store?

No. There is a popular deal previously offered at Price Cutter grocery stores in the local area where you can buy a discounted admission ticket for selective use on Thursdays. This offer may or may not be available depending on where you are. We were unable to track it down while we were in town.

First thing to know, some of the Price Cutter grocery stores that used to participate are now operating under a different name and do not seem to honor the deal. The second thing to know is that the ticket price of this offer has gone up dramatically since 2019. You may be able to save 10-20% off of park prices if you can find the deal but don't expect to cash in on a BOGO deal that nets you half off.

How Long Can I Use My Souvenir Mug to Get Refills?

You can use your souvenir mug for as long as it lasts, but the discounted refills are only valid for the year in which the mug was purchased. It used to be that souvenir mugs were indefinitely discounted, but that stopped back in 2011. If you have that year or earlier, Silver Dollar City will still honor those refills.

What Happens if I Decide I Want a Pass After I Bought My Ticket?

If you paid to play for just one day and then decided the pass suits you better, there's good news! You can apply your purchased ticket towards a season pass as long as you do so on the day of your visit.
